ROXFEST - 2007 NORTH ROCKS FESTIVAL

OF YOUNG PERSON’S POETRY, PROSE & ART

1 – 5 September 2008

NEWSFLASH…..Roxfest expands in 2008 to include prose…..young writers encouraged to enter……

Roxfest is an event that fosters and encourages the artistic visions and talent of children and young people in our community. School students in the local area are invited to enter their poetry, prose, art, sculpture and photography into the festival.

Roxfest, now in its ninth year, is an initiative of the North Rocks Public School P&C. We are grateful to the Unilever Australasia Foundation for its continuing support and to Westfield North Rocks for again letting us display the entries in public.

Entry to the festival is free. All poetry, prose, art, sculpture and photography need to be submitted by 4.00 pm on Wednesday 30 August 2007.

If you are interested in entering Roxfest you can download a copy of the brochure. It has more information about the festival, the judges and the prizes you can win. (Get the brochure here)

Or if you already know about Roxfest and just want a copy of the entry form and conditions you can download one here. (Get the entry form and conditions here)

Winning and selected entries will be displayed at Westfield North Rocks between Monday 1 September and Friday 5 September 2008. Why not come along and see who the judges recognized at the presentation evening. This will be held at Westfield North Rocks at 7pm on Thursday 6 September 2007.

If you have any other questions about Roxfest contact North Rocks Public School during school hours: 9871 1772 or 9871 1622.
